Gotta Love Blue!

This polish is so gorgeous, this is three coats, without a base color underneath it. I'm a blue girl, and this is definitely speaking to me. on my thumb, the suspension of the micro glitter over the big hexagons is just oh so beautiful. Aphrodite Lacquer - Tempt

I added a gold gradient over my ring finger, and in hindsight, I wish I hadn't. Maybe if the glitter was bigger and the same size as the blue, idk. Don't like it though! China Glaze - I'm not Lion is so beautiful on it's own, but not like this!

Cheetah Print!

I got so many complements on these nails when I wore them! I loved them too, but this was from before I started cleaning up my cuticles hahah, so I'm sorry! It was all done free handed, no dotting tools or anything. I didn't have enough polish on the brush when I was doing the black though, it started to look" scratchy."

China Glaze - White on White
China Glaze - Liquid Leather
(rainbow ordered)
Sephora by OPI - “24/7”
Sephora by OPI - “How Cute”
Sinful Colors - Happy Ending

Gradient!

First time trying a gradient, it turned out nice, and the colors work well together, they're just not my cup of tea. I first painted my nails with Dollish Polish - Check Out those Sweater Puppies. I taped up my nails after that to avoid pink polish all over my fingers, and then using a makeup wedge, painted a swatch of Dollish Polish - Dining at the Pink Taco and then sponged it onto the tip.

The pink and orange weren't working for me, so I added Lynnderella - Connect the Dots which is so cute. This really gave me the needed umph to be happy with my nails. Couldn't stop looking at them!

Water Marbling!

Second try with water marbling, and it turned out so beautiful. So many complements, and requests to do some of my friends nails hahah! It was a bummer though, because I got some little bubbles that popped and revealed white underneath... you can see on my middle finger where I tried to cover it up hahahah. Failed attempt.

CND - Bicycle Yellow
Essie - Play Date (purple)
Essie - Mod Square (pink)
Essie - Fear or Desire (orange)

2012 London Olympics!

So excited :) Just watched the opening ceremony, and I'm sad to say that personally, I was disappointed. Oh well though, I'm still looking forward to the games!!

The rings are a bit messy... and the middle flag stripe is just bugging me because of the thickness, but it was my first time working with the striping brushes, so I feel good about it! I've gotten tons of complement on them already too. The sparkles I used are called Captain America, I can't remember where I bought it though... it's in my moms room, and it's really late and she's sleeping, I should have written it down...

Oops!

Excuse the backwards watermarks on my first posts hahahah, I had a blonde moment...

Gradient Try One!

I tried to make this a gradient, but the glitter was pretty... present hahah. Not bad for my first try, and I kind of liked it anyways! Some of the polishes I have came from a mini Sephora by OPI collection, and they don't have names printed on them. I wrote small pieces of their name on the bottle, but it's only a piece. The light blue was called SbOPI - "-mint" and the glitter over the top is Nicole by OPI - A Million Sparkles.

French Manicure

This is probably the fastest french manicure I've ever done. I was so rushed, but had to put something on my nails hahah! After applying Orly French Manicure - Angel Face and a coat of Seche Vite, I waited for them to dry and added scotch tape and painted China Glaze - White on White, removing the tape immediately. After that dried, I used a stamping tool to stamp on the blue flowerish thing hahah. I used Orly - Snowcone for the blue, which I love by the way, fantastic color.

The pink base was a bit streaky, but that might have been because I was rushing. The brush was pretty narrow though, especially compared to the giant OPI brushes I'm used to.

Number One!

I had a nail blog on a tumblr, but I've decided to graduate to this! I was previously acetone-free.tumbr.com

A few of these first posts are a bit rough with the clean-up, but they've gotten much better, I promise. I'm going to upload a few posts a day from my old blog until I get caught up with my current nails.

This was the first tape french manicure I've ever done, and I don't think it turned out too bad! I loved this Essie - Play Date it was a gorgeous purple. For the black I used China Glaze - Liquid Leather
